Ken Walker serves JHW Architects in the capacity of Project Architect, stepping aside after 22 years as a Principal in 2002 to pursue travel and outside activities. He joined the firm as a Partner in 1980, bringing twenty years experience in Southern California and on the Central Coast. As Project Manager for the Seagram/Coca Cola Winery in Gonzales, he managed the construction document preparation and supervision for the warehouse and bottling facility, tasting room and the award-winning gallery. Ken was Designer/Project Architect for the Hyatt Regency Monterey Conference Center and Room Additions, and followed that project with work for the Carmel Foundation-Norton Court Senior Housing, Monterey Institute of International Studies Segal Library and McCone Faculty Offices, and the Naval Postgraduate School’s Public Works Complex. His recent design of the Roy Woods Commercial Building in Carmel Valley is featured on the pages of SKETCHES and was the scene of the Village Affair Gala in 1999.

Ken and wife Marilyn are avid travelers, and enjoy dining in pubs from Scotland to Durango Colorado. They have recently moved to a new home in the pastoral setting of Los Lomas, close to family and lots of good fishing. They have two daughters, Courtney and Teresa.
